FAQ
Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?
At this time, I offer virtual sessions only. We meet via Zoom, which allows for flexibility and consistency while maintaining privacy.
Do you accept insurance?
I am a private-pay therapist and do not participate directly with insurance panels. If you have out-of-network benefits, many clients receive substantial reimbursement. I provide a monthly superbill for submission, and you can contact your insurance provider to confirm your specific coverage.
What is your fee?
My fee is $500 per 50-minute session.
Where are you licensed?
I am licensed as a mental health counselor (LMHC) in New York State and as a professional counselor (LPC) in Connecticut.
Do you work with clients outside New York and Connecticut?
For individuals located beyond New York and Connecticut, including internationally, coaching may be available depending on your goals and needs.
To learn more about coaching and explore whether this would be appropriate for your situation, you’re welcome to contact me directly at anna@annaholtzmantherapy.com
Do you only work with women?
While the majority of my clients are women, I enjoy working with people of all genders. What many of my clients have in common is a strong sense of responsibility, deep care for others, and a sense that they may be losing touch with themselves while trying to hold everything together.
What kind of therapy do you practice?
My approach is relational, depth-oriented, somatic, and grounded in nervous-system awareness.
I see therapy as a collaborative process rather than a place where someone analyzes or fixes you from a distance. Our work may involve exploring patterns, relationships, emotions, physical stress responses, identity, self-trust, and the ways you’ve adapted to pressure over time.
How often do we meet?
Most clients begin with weekly sessions. Over time, frequency can be adjusted based on your needs and the direction of the work.
How long do people usually work with you?
Every person's goals and circumstances are different, so there's no predetermined timeline. Some clients come seeking support through a particular transition, while others choose longer-term therapy because they value having an ongoing space for deeper personal growth.
Is this a good fit if I’m in crisis?
I do not provide emergency or crisis services. If you are in immediate distress, please contact 988 or your local emergency services.
What happens after I reach out?
After you contact me, I will respond within 48 hours to schedule a brief, no-cost consultation call so we can determine whether working together feels like a good fit.
