You’ve built a beautiful life, but somewhere along the way, you stopped feeling like yourself.
Private therapy for women who want to reconnect with their vitality, creativity, desire, and sense of self so they can fully enjoy the life they’ve worked so hard to build.

Welcome
From the outside, your life may look enviable.
You’ve built something meaningful, whether it's a career, a family, or a reputation. You're capable, thoughtful, and used to being the one others can depend on.
But beneath that competence, you may feel the constant pressure of managing other people’s emotions, expectations, comfort, or stability. And when that pressure begins showing up as anxiety, burnout, shutdown, pain, or overwhelm, it can start to feel like you’re the problem.
You may second-guess yourself constantly while appearing composed to everyone else.
You may feel disconnected from your body, your pleasure, your creativity, or your sense of aliveness.
You may feel lonely in ways that are difficult to explain, especially because the very things people admire about your life often make your struggles invisible.
And because of the privilege, responsibility, or success you carry, you may even feel guilty acknowledging any of this at all.
At first, the question often sounds like: Why can’t I just get better? Why can’t I stop overreacting? Why can’t I just enjoy my life and stop feeling this way?
But over time, another question often begins to emerge underneath it: What happened to me?
What happened to the version of you who once felt more spontaneous, alive, creative, sexual, outspoken, adventurous, or emotionally free before so much of your energy became focused on keeping the peace, anticipating other people’s needs, or trying not to be “too much” for everyone around you?
Therapy with me isn't about blowing up your life or becoming a different person.
It's about creating a private, thoughtful space where you no longer have to leave parts of yourself outside the room. A space where you can begin listening for your own voice again beneath the pressure, obligation, fear, guilt, or over-functioning that may have shaped you for years.
As we work together, clients often find themselves reconnecting not only to their emotions, but also to their sense of vitality, desire, intuition, creativity, and self-trust.
As this happens, relationships often become more honest and connected, decisions may feel less fear-driven, and you may find yourself moving through challenges with greater clarity, steadiness, and resilience.
Healing isn't just about reducing symptoms. It's also about becoming fully present inside your own life again.
Who I Work With
The women who tend to resonate with this work are often highly capable, thoughtful people who are used to carrying a great deal.
Some are executives, founders, creatives, or women carrying significant responsibility within families of wealth. Their lives may appear stable and successful from the outside, yet internally they feel disconnected from themselves.
Many are accustomed to being the emotionally responsible one in their relationships, families, or professional worlds. They often struggle privately with anxiety, burnout, chronic stress symptoms, shutdown, self-doubt, or loss of desire, while feeling pressure to simply “get over it” and move on for the sake of everyone else around them.

This work tends to resonate with women who:
How Therapy With Me Feels
Many of the women I work with arrive feeling exhausted from trying to “fix” themselves so they can finally stop disappointing or inconveniencing the people around them.
When working with me, therapy becomes a place where they no longer have to perform wellness, competence, or emotional control in order to deserve care. Instead of treating your emotions, symptoms, or sensitivity like problems to eliminate, we begin approaching them with curiosity, compassion, and respect for what they may have been trying to protect.
You may have been in therapy before and gained valuable insight, yet still found yourself repeating the same patterns, struggling with the same symptoms, or feeling disconnected from the life you wanted to be living. While insight is an important part of the work, I believe it isn't always enough on its own. My approach integrates psychotherapy, nervous-system-based work, and practical, change-oriented support to help you make meaningful, sustainable shifts in the way you relate to yourself, your relationships, and your life.
Over time, clients often find themselves reconnecting with parts of themselves they've suppressed for years: their emotions, instincts, creativity, sexual desire, anger, grief, clarity, and sense of self. Relationships often become more fulfilling. Decisions begin to feel more aligned. Life itself starts to feel more vivid, grounded, and fully inhabited.
Not because we're forcing change, but because when people feel emotionally safe enough to truly know themselves—and have the support to practice new ways of living—lasting transformation becomes possible.

About Anna
I’m Anna Holtzman, LMHC, a psychotherapist based in New York.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years working in television and publishing in high-pressure creative environments where performance, image, and external success often masked what people were carrying privately underneath.
That experience shaped my sensitivity to the inner lives of thoughtful, high-functioning people who may appear composed externally while feeling disconnected, uncertain, lonely, or emotionally overextended internally.
My clinical work is informed by training in psychotherapy, somatic and nervous-system-aware approaches, and years of sitting with people as they navigate questions of identity, self-trust, desire, relationships, and change.
I’m especially interested in the ways women can lose touch with themselves inside relationships, family systems, caregiving roles, and high-pressure environments where keeping others comfortable becomes second nature.
I care deeply about creating a therapy space that feels thoughtful, grounded, emotionally honest, and free from performance.
